Sacramento, CA – The Public Policy Institute of California published a poll on Wednesday that shows a clear majority of likely voters support Proposition 4, a $10 billion dollar bond that invests in proven strategies to prevent wildfires, provide clean drinking water, and protect California’s iconic natural beauty.

Three important takeaways from PPIC’s analysis:

  • After reading the ballot title and label, 65 percent of likely voters would vote yes
  • Support across regions and demographic groups, with majorities of likely voters voting yes.
  • Three in four likely voters say the outcome of Proposition 4 is very (32%) or somewhat important (43%).

“Every day, Californians turn on their TV and see the threat of wildfire unfolding in real time; and every day, nearly a million people live in communities that lack access to clean drinking water,” said Jonathan Underland, Spokesperson, Yes on Prop 4. “Voters recognize the importance of investing in proven solutions to prevent wildfires and provide clean drinking water, and they want to take action by voting Yes on Prop 4.”
